A Garland Cinquain Poem- Write Under the Moon
A touch
was all it took,
to strike the smallest spark,
and bring life to the lifeless one,
to love,
To love
where no love was,
where darkness covered light,
must this night forever banish,
ignite,
Ignite
the inner fire
a faintest chance to be,
receive love’s coming near to breathe
within,
Within
the inner heart,
a crack breaks through the veil,
and light begins to break away
the dark,
The dark,
swift to escape,
fears this most certain death,
runs faster with each forward step
to life.
A touch,
where no love was,
the faintest chance to be,
and light begins to break away
to life.
Notes from the artist:
Silence and Light - 13 in x 19 in watercolor pigment on watercolor paper.
In this meditative tableau, light becomes the language of faith. The two prophets are walking towards the threshold of radiance, their forms dissolving into a field of gold, crimson, and blue.
The central vertical glow, evoking a cross, anchors the scene between earth and heaven. Silence pervades the moment—not as absence, but as existence. Here, the divine is not declared; it is felt—a quiet revelation rising through color, form, and surrender.

Dante motive
This is one for the books! Never knew what that phrase meant. But, I liked these lines.
