So
listless,
so
witless,
exhausted
and burned,
behavior
beyond the pale!
I have seen,
I have witnessed,
have watched credence lent
without regret,
as insanities,
tyrannies rewrite their
sordid histories.
Nothing was ever learned
from the errors of the past,
nothing much considered,
no true memories would last.
The machinations of power
turned endlessly on spiked wheels,
reason summarily cowered
beneath their greedy and artless deals.
Masses continued to worship
the endless display of brute power,
more rabid, more insistent, more ruthless,
the final gasps of humanity’s hour
can be heard off the cliff in the distance,
as Creation awaits the time to issue
the victorious beginning of Truth.
