Free Verse-

Living breath,
reviving,
breath so
transient and
mortal.
You give me birth,
but too soon
abandon me
to death.
Why do I
spend you,
escaping,
denying?
One more breath
I waste
in anger,
nonsense.
I use you
with not
one thought
of your expense.
I dream
I do not need you,
when my breath
at last
ends.
Dying breath,
last breath,
may there be
another?
I do not know.
I must strive
to pay
attention.
Breath,
life,
death,
all are one.
