Bring Light
Before we vanish in the night.

We could bring light,
but run fast to darkness;
We could feed all,
but throw it all away
We should live hope,
yet despair lies within us,
we yearn for bright futures,
waste our present days.
We act as if this play
will carry on forever,
curtains hide us from sight
when we vanish in the night.
In the end we have
what is ours together,
everything, anything
worthwhile is shared.
Soon, a final word
is spoken on the stage,
and the audience will fade
again to black.
We act as if this play
will carry on forever,
curtains hide us from sight
when we vanish in the night.
So fix the belt around your waist,
and call the people in,
begin the work again,
awaiting daybreak.
We act as if this play
will carry on forever,
curtains hide us from sight
when we vanish in the night.
