Fresh cut from the garden
Taking what I have into my hands

Inflation rages, battles drawn
Life as we once knew it
Will not return for quite some time

Institutions come and gone
Who could have believed it
So much depends on one another’s grace

Civilizations come and gone
Who could have then perceived …
