Compassion
We share our grief
Write Under the Moon — Poetry

Compassion lingers
in the shadows of grief,
hopeful to find relief
in our tomorrows.
Time they have taken,
just one minute more,
a simple, costless gift
that would never be missed.
Each second matters,
the present we know,
helpless in the undertow
of every moment lost.
The past fades, forgotten,
though its stories echo
down the dark roads
of our embodied souls.
What of our future,
where might we be then,
whether hell or heaven,
how do we come to tell?
Now, our eternity turns,
staring back at us,
whether better or ill,
and shakes us conscious.
Thank you for taking the time to read! I sincerely appreciate your support.

This is extremely relevant to my life…I’m thinking of using it in my consolation ministry…

Dear Bob,
Ultimately, your verse is a powerful call to awaken to the present, to embrace the full spectrum of my emotions, and to live with intentionality. It invites me to reflect on my past, to remain hopeful for my future, and to navigate my present with a conscious heart.
Thank you for sharing your profound insights. They are a reminder that our journey, while challenging, is also filled with opportunities for growth, connection, and transformation.
With deepest appreciation,
Simply Richard (MD, PhD(2), DBA)
