When hearts are frozen,
Slippery as ice.

Without compromise
Perception darkens;
Democracy slides

When communion dies
Without compassion,
Slippery as ice.

Contention and lies
Cancel all freedoms,
Democracy slides.

Without compromise,
No sane solutions,
Slippery as ice.

Right before our eyes
Culture has fallen,
Democracy slides,
Slippery as ice.
