A Poem
Do you not yet understand,
do you think it is far from you
to contemplate the worth of a man
or take the time to see his view?
Though you might well differ,
shall it cause your mind to suffer,
when you learn to comprehend
he might know a different world than you?
What if his thoughts prove true
as real as any thought has been,
what will you choose to do,
how would the struggle end?
Is it better to be done with him,
leave him in the darkness there,
without a need to pretend
you had once begun to care?
How did you ever come to think
in such a peculiar way,
it is much easier to sink
your mind into the fray.
