A Song Poem

Entrenched
In our biases,
Calcified,
Petrified,
Frozen in our place.
Ensconced
In our edifices,
Denied,
Defied,
Our history erased.
Protecting the answers we have,
Rejecting those we negate,
Pretending to constantly laugh,
As our Enemy stands at the gate.
Entranced
In our wonders,
Glorified,
Sanctified,
By our own grace.
Eclipsed
In our slumbers,
Hypnotized,
Anesthetized,
Blind actors in our play.
Protecting the answers we have,
Rejecting those we negate,
Pretending to constantly laugh,
As our Enemy stands at the gate.
