Wait,
listen,
and
reflect,
do not speak
just yet;
there is still
a proper time
to respond.
Perhaps, by chance,
you find an answer,
the one you sought
for these many years,
may lie silent, hidden
here in our plain sight.
Though you will not quite see,
until your eyes are opened,
your blindness break away
to wider fields of vision.
It seems to me a chip of time
to think, and mull it over,
is better spent among the trees
and gardens, as they spring new flowers;
Let them share their simple wisdom,
of growth, and struggle, and resilience.
Hope begins with honest conversation,
as faith is not so easily found
among the quarrels of men’s ambitions.
For the few who turn to quiet, permission
is given to wander these hallowed grounds.
