Mercy and grace,
return to this place.
Cast off the anger,
and silence the hate.
We must begin
to see the other,
not as alien,
but sister and brother.
There is no future
except what we make.
Divided and broken,
we cannot remain.
The hopeless words
of insane men
cannot become
our spirit within.
We have been called
to something far greater.
The work is before us;
we must not blame each other.
