Ocean Sails
Slip through to the bay
A Garland Cinquain Poem- Write Under the Moon

Slip through
calm, blue waters,
sails set west to the bay,
a new day awaits, alone and
quiet,
Quiet,
in silent beats,
the light autumn breezes
soon lift aloft sailcloth canvas,
urging,
Urging
landlocked sailors,
depart this place, find peace
alive in the open spaces
between,
Between
this stern and bow,
the hope to find somehow
a new sense of reality,
freeing
Freeing
seaward spirits,
swept away to soundless,
oceanic soaring, flying,
sailing!
Slip through,
in silent beats,
depart this place, find peace,
a new sense of reality,
sailing!
