Change lives in its wake
If you stay awake
You may catch the difference,
Ripples on the lake
This so very slight
Elliptical disturbance,
There is no mistake
Under the surface
This hidden, subtle movement
Churns water above
The lake is not the same
As in the prior moment
Change lives in its wake
