So Distant
With nowhere to go
Poem-Song- Write Under the Moon

Why do I feel so distant,
Is it a matter of sanity,
I thought I could make a difference,
It was most likely a case of vanity.
So few have come to my defense,
This world, so lost in inanity,
I met with a logical dissent,
To agree would have been a tragedy.
And now I sit
Alone in this room,
There’s nowhere to go,
And nothing to do.
I think of what might have been
If I had simply slept in, like the rest,
I showed up instead, and then
I fabulously failed the test.
They asked me what I believed,
I answered as best as I could,
They will not grant me a reprieve,
I would reject it, if they would.
And now I sit
Alone in this room,
There’s nowhere to go,
And nothing to do.
My jacket is tight,
my arms fold in place,
I take in the light,
it shines white on my face.
And now I sit
Alone in this room,
There’s nowhere to go,
And nothing to do.

WAR IS PEACE
FREEDOM IS SLAVERY
IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH.”
