A Villanelle on Perspective

I cannot see what you see,
You have a much different lens,
Would you care to show me?
You think I refuse to believe
the things that you have said,
I cannot see what you see.
The world you fear will be,
the future that you dread,
Would you care to show me?
A matter of degree,
or basic truth instead,
I cannot see what you see.
What is it that you read,
Where has your logic led,
Would you care to show me?
It seems so plain to me,
It’s time to change the lens,
I cannot see what you see
Would you care to show me?
Thank you for taking the time to read! I deeply appreciate your support.

just beautiful Bob. i always say, curiosity over judgement. your poem is a brilliant illustration of that.
Wow Bob! This is great. I think the form of the villanelle really adds to the poem here because sometimes we have to be extremely persistent in order to see another perspective and you feel that with the repetition. It came together beautifully.
